Hey just wondering what version of Windows you guys are using.

P.S. Noticed there wasn't a section for computers until I decided to post this. Feel free to mention any other categories you'd like to see :toothless:

What do you think of separate sub forums for mac, pc and gaming?

That's a good idea if you'd like to change some of the site's purpose.

I don't think it would deviate too much from the sites main purpose. Just give people more topics to chat about in the forum :P

Perhaps I'll wait though, until there's more members and/or a higher demand for it. I'll sticky this topic for now. (Not that there's anything else in here ha!)

If you build upon the * your adsense ads will be a little more site oriented. Having a definitive set of keywords and description will usually eliminate the weird stuff that shows up on the ads. I think Google likes to see roughly 25-40 keywords.

*
Code:
meta name="keywords" content="dumbass jones music dumbassjones"

Currently I'm using XP, still. My laptop has vista which I rarely use unless I'm out and about. Personally I think Vista has a long ways to go yet before I'm diving head first into using it. My server has 03 Enterprise Windows Server (corporate).

haha what if I like having acid reflux and dustin free radio ads.

j/k

Good tip, I'll try adding more relevant keywords and see what happens. The reason I ask about XP and Vista has to do with visual styles.

*possible hint*

I've got a box running Server 2007 2 Vista ultimate boxes and like 9 win xp pc's ( AD test environment ). I Test stuff for my work and just cause I'm a huge nerd =\ I mean like outside of what normal people do vista is ok. From a dev/admin standpoint trying to make an app silent install with Altiris/sms/whatever it is your using for network distribution it like is a pile of shit. At least Until you turn off that "windows defender" tomfoolery. As for the box i mainly use at the house I have Vista ultimate for DX10 and thats about it. (All my licenses are legit too witch is a first for me lol) Free Tech net subscription for the win!

Might as well get a loooong head start on Vista. Eventually it'll get better and more people will stop complaining. I'm seeing more and more IT gurus switching back to Vista after they switched back to XP...

...you could bank off from Vista styles if they're obviously unique. And most def get traffic, that's for sure.

 Good VS

But now I see your point - rather, your passion. Why not? It's a good idea.

I'd like to, but for some reason I can't stand using vista for an extended period of time. I guess I just need to get used to it. I also have a dual boot and it's just so easy to go to XP since that's where all my main programs are installed. My hardware is a little old too :x

I say boycott vista to be honest. I've just formated from vista 64bit to xp 32bit and jesus there's a HELL of a difference in games.

Anyway before anyone jumps in here with the modern rig crap, my computer is only 9 months old. So yeah, my vote goes xp :p

yeah I'm not too keen on them either. I may start the dark color and come back to this one later. I'll get a beta up for you guys as soon as the dark version is done.

This is a very common poll and people have mixed opinions about it. I choose Windows 7 (other) now.
